Joyful Easter Activities
To be inspired by five joyful activities to enjoy in the lead up to Easter, follow along.
Published 23 March

As we hop closer to Easter, now is the perfect time to start thinking about creative and fun ways to enjoy the holiday with the littlest members of your family.

1. Enjoy colourful craft

There are so many egg-cellent activities to choose from, but one of our favourites would have to be Easter craft! Thankfully, we’ve got a bunch of amazing retailers that will have eggs-actly what you need. Try Lo Costa House & Party and Home Explorer.

We even have some free downloadable Easter craft sheets available on our website, you can access them here!

2. Plan an enchanting Easter egg hunt

Nothing says ‘Easter’ quite like an Easter egg hunt.

Unleash your inner bunny and hop through your backyard scattering eggs for the whole family to find.

You can purchase your chocolate eggs from The Nut Bar or San Churro Chocolateria and or your hollowed eggs from Big.W. Don’t forget to grab adorable carry baskets from Bed Bath N Table.

3. Cosy up in matching pyjamas

An adorable Easter tradition to start with your family this year is to all wake up on Easter Sunday in matching Easter-themed pyjamas. Some of our favourite places to purchase ‘jammies’ include Peter Alexander, Cotton On Kids and Best&Less.

Oh, and don’t forget the slippers and fluffy socks! You can find adorable pairs from Best&Less or Cotton On Body!

4. Bake up a storm

Not only is Easter baking a great family-friendly activity, but once you’ve perfected your recipe, you can wrap up individual morsels of your tasty creations and gift them to loved ones.

Once you’ve decided exactly what you’d like to create, it’s time to pick up your ingredients. We recommend heading to The Marketplace!

If you want to add an eggs-tra special touch, you can present your treats on adorable Easter-themed serving ware from Salt & Pepper.

5. Donate a generous gift basket

Why not work with your little ones to pull together a thoughtful Easter hamper that will be sure to put a smile on another family’s face?

When creating your donation hamper, be sure to check on the charity website to see if there are any specific items that they have put a call out for. You can secure non-perishables and chocolates from our local supermarkets, Woolworths and Aldi.

Local charities that you may wish to donate to include Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania and the local Salvation Army.

No matter which activities you choose to enjoy, we hope you and your family have an egg-citing Easter!
