Changing Places
Watergardens is one of the first Australian Shopping Centre to offer a Changing Places bathroom, successfully meeting the needs of all people with disabilities and their carers. A functional, private area providing the extra equipment and space to change with ease, Changing Places is located in the amenities corridor, below the travellators to the rooftop entry (near Zoes Kitchen and Optus). This space is fitted with a height adjustable, full-sized changing bench, tracking hoist system and enough room for carers to assist comfortably within.
Watergardens Changing Places facilities requires a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK) in order to access and use the facility.
Access and Services for People with Disabilities
For ease of access you'll find disabled parking spaces located at each of the centre's main carpark entries, and there are several lifts and travelators located throughout the centre assist with movement between levels. Restrooms are conveniently located near the lifts.
Wheelchair and Electric Scooter hire
Mobility equipment, including wheelchairs and motorised scooters, can be borrowed from Watergardens.
Equipment can be borrowed from the Customer Service Desk during staffed hours. To ensure the sanitisation and safe handling of hire equipment, bookings are essential with a minimum of 48 hour notice, please call (03) 9361 5511.
Upon arrival at the centre, visit the the Customer Service Desk and provide proof of identity to collect your scooter or wheelchair. If you require assistance with an escort to or from your car please contact our staff to arrange.
Elevators
We have a number of elevators throughout the centre to make your visit as smooth as possible.
Visiting with children? Our well-equipped parenting rooms provide a clean and private area where the whole family is welcome. Nursing mothers will find private feeding areas, along with comfortable armchair seating and padded change tables. Parents Rooms contain microwaves for warming up milk/formula.
We have dedicated parents facilities across four convenient locations in the centre; in the Food Court, The Marketplace, Station Street and near Big W.
